I learned two languages well enough to build a new life on them. I moved to Montreal, sat the same tests that immigration asks for, and passed. Somewhere in that process, I noticed something: most language courses teach the language in general, but say very little about the specific moment a student is preparing for, the exam, the interview, the first week in a new city. I started teaching because I wanted to close that gap. I did not want my students to arrive at their test, their new job, or their new country, and feel like grammar had been the easy part while everything else was left to chance. École de langues Sucre Syntaxique exists to teach the language and the journey around it, together, with the same care I wished someone had shown me.

Meet Tejo, founder and lead instructor. She has taught in classrooms on more than one continent, but the lesson that shaped her most was her own: learning English and French well enough to move her life to Montreal. By day, she writes in computer languages, by evening, she teaches human ones. She built this school so that every student could feel as supported as she once wished she had been.
